| Jai Sri Radhe! Pranams. Shekinashram is an evolving exploration of living consciousness. Initially envisioned by Elahn, and inspired by Amma whilst in India, Shekinashram found its birth in Glastonbury on May 1st 2003. It was primarily established by Elahn and Jay Keshava, with grateful assistance from a small group of committed individuals without whose dedicated, loving seva would no doubt have taken a great deal longer to have manifest. Radhe! Radhe! Elahn’s life is a story of transformation, which simply illustrates the potential to turn around a challenging life story by being willing to follow ones inspiration with a certainty of being. Having lived in Brixton, London as a musician for all his adult life, Elahn had the opportunity to visit Mother Meera for Darshan in Germany in 1995. Elahn attributes the redirection of his life to this one meeting, as only days after returning from Mother Meera he was invited to move into a shared community house on the side of Glastonbury Tor. |

| It was during this time that his direction shifted
its focus to working directly with people in group work. Since 1996 Elahn
has facilitated hundreds of groups, courses and retreats.
In 1998, whilst walking home from a satsang with a teacher then known as Anamo, Elahn experienced a major shift in his consciousness. During the next six months following this event, Elahn had a series of profound realisations. After this time, he landed in a more ‘ordinary’ state of consciousness. |

| It was during this time that Elahn wrote ‘Only This’
which is a series of impressions regarding the nature of consciousness.
A short while after this in 1999 Elahn travelled back to London to see Amma
having not seen Her for some 8 years. At the end of Her programme during
Devi Bhava darshan, Elahn experienced a direct transmission of energy from
Amma revealing the True Nature of the Divine Mother. It was after this event
that he understood his Dharma, to serve the Divine Mother and visited Amma
at Her ashram in Kerala, India, during which he received internal clarity
regarding the template for a western ashram. Elahn returned to England to
complete this work.
Very shortly after this Elahn met Jay who would then work alongside him,
supporting him in the realisation of the work he had been given to achieve:
that of establishing Shekinashram.Three years later Shekinashram opened
its doors in Dod Lane, Glastonbury. On the Ashram’s official opening
day many visitors came including a group of bhaktas who sat to sing bhajans.
Two of these were Jay and Ellen Molnia who were invited to return each
Friday evening to sing bhajans. During this period there was such an influx
of bhakti that Elahn’s focus, and respectively that of the ashram
naturally became more devotional. Since then Elahn has been leading bhajan
every Friday evening. Surrender to Love - |
