Mentoring

There are a great deal of pitfalls and plateau’s along this path of realisation and if the individual is serious about realising the final Truth rather than being content with remedial measures, then it most often becomes necessary to consciously enlist the assistance of some well travelled if not directly Realised ‘other’ who can offer positive and honest reflection through teaching and by means of direct living transmission. Traditionally in spiritual community this is functionally evident in the Guru/devotee, master/student relationship. Having independently investigated this relationship apparent throughout all well established enlightenment traditions, and having first hand experience in both master and student roles, the simple fact remains that it is not only absolutely and beautifully valid, it is usually totally necessary in order for true awakening to occur. It is a rare case indeed where no direct guidance is necessary. The relationship between master/student is a very deep love relationship established in mutual Divine recognition that transcends the usual considerations of human relationship. In this way it is not hierarchal, nor is it a place where any form of idolatry is encouraged, rather it is a deeply personal and profoundly intimate relationship, whilst being utterly impersonal. It is nothing less than an open display of transcendental non-dualism.

Our intention is to forge a new way forward in spiritual community which is devoid of unnecessary hierarchies which either subtly or grossly disempower, and therefore unconsciously maintain or cultivate egoic old world paradigms. This is not to say that dominant figures will not emerge, as this is inevitable and natural due to the diversity of qualities and commitment that individuals have and express. Additionally this does not exclude the possibility of master/student relationships, for to some degree they already exist, and whilst truly functional, this is acceptable. Although this type of relationship is available it is not that which the Ashram is founded upon. What is most important is the individual’s relationship to Truth Itself, and essentially this is the paramount factor upon which this community is established. When there is a total and unconditional commitment to Truth, our relationships to one another as honest, authentic Being, open and perpetually empty, the guru manifests as the collective consciousness in transcendental union, as unqualified and undifferentiated Divine Consciousness.

Intimate Association & the Shekinah Lineage

One of the unique aspects of this community is that all persons involved have shared many sacred journeys together and have enjoyed being established in a deep intimacy prior to the Ashram's creation. Being a part of the Ashram is a response to a calling to be together in order to explore this intimacy of the Heart and therefore submerge deeper into Divine Realisation. Each person has been given continual access to convergences over time, such as; courses, pilgrimages, retreats, celebrations, Enlightenment Intensives, Reiki Circles etc, and has accepted the invitation of ongoing participation. Thereby each individual is already well established in, or is at least beginning to live by the precepts outlined throughout this document. In addition to this there is also an energetic affiliation of a mystical nature that connects us through our Reiki lineage and the crest of Shekinah.
