Opening to Freedom
Shekinashram has been established as a spiritual community where our commitment to direct realisation of Truth, and living as open, honest reflections for one another is the very foundation of our being together. The vision of Shekinashram is to express a way of life that is both totally conscious and effortlessly selfless, which deeply honours the One in all its miraculous forms. We aim to provide spaciousness and facilities where all who are drawn to join us are made welcome. We recognise that when we give all we become empty of self, and place ourselves in a position to be filled with the nectar of grace. The Ashram is a space to live a deeply integrated spiritual life, with a balance between: A place of retreat where one is supported both by community members, and a naturally conducive environment to merge in realisation of the Absolute Reality of Consciousness. The Ashram will serve the individual by inviting him/her to move beyond co-dependant existence into recognition of the inter-dependant nature of effortless Being. Established in their commitment to Self discovery, each one will be encouraged to simply rest in the Infinite Self. There will be facilities to accommodate undisturbed silent retreat and alone time. This will be encouraged as an essential component to the truly functional community existence. Each Being is inherently radiant, perfectly themselves, and a living manifestation of the Divine personality. Divine human reflection is a fundamental part of existence. We are blessed in this realm of experience to witness the miraculous form of the One manifest in each unique individual, whether this reflection be challenging or to the contrary. We are here to relate, and to learn to do so in an authentic, and profound manner. The highest manifestation of relationship is love, where each one recognises and accepts the other as a reflection of the Divine, in reality none other than the very same Self. In this recognition great honouring effortlessly occurs. Through living together in the context of the Shekinashram we cultivate an environment and state of being which honours the individual whilst essentially reflecting non-separateness. Service Serving the day to day requirements of the Ashram with its ongoing construction, maintenance, and nurturance will be an essential function of daily community life. The cultivation of selfless service rather than egoic self fulfilment is key to an unconditional way of Being. By allowing ourselves to be offered as a vessel for service we are given the opportunity to divert the course of selfish egoic striving, transmuting the energy to be utilised by the individual/collective consciousness for a ‘meaningful’ purpose.
