| The End of Karma \ |
The seeker is continually presented with the unbearable seduction of departure from the present. The whole concept of karma is based on this premise. Wrong actions from past incarnation dictate the experience in the present, whilst right action in the present will set the threshold for auspicious experience in the future. This is how simple the law of cause and effect is, though if one accepts the invitation to enter fully into the present moment then the law no longer applies. If we use the image of the scales of karma, polarised by right and wrong action it can be seen that the scales rest on the fulcrum point in the centre. This may be viewed as the present moment. Everything balances on the present moment. Here lays the secret of karmic absolution. Recognising that Reality is centred in the present moment. Existing in the totality of Now, Being unconditionally Present regardless of the 'temptation' to stray out of the moment, ensures liberation. In the presence of Now nothing else exists. Nothing! Only This! Every moment is a portal into Realisation of Eternity. In this moment You Are Free! Here is Total Liberation! This is not avoidance of process, this is recognising that in this moment there is no process. Process and the pursuit of healing are only sojourns into belief structures based on fading memories of the past. This is not a necessary prerequisite to enlightenment. All of the patterns and fears will certainly arise in their own good time to be exposed for what they are; strategies to avoid addressing the terrifying implications of enlightenment when the 'I' or personal identity disappears into the void. There is no need to continually process, for this in itself becomes an addiction and an avoidance of Truth. Simply recognise the ground of your Being is founded in the Now and live today as a new incarnation. Allow yourself to be 'born again'
free of karmic impurity and self identification. This is not to say that
feelings are to be repressed, but neither are they necessary to be expressed,
only experienced, acknowledged for what they are and surrendered without
the need to attach any identification to them. You are not obliged to
take everything personally, nor are you obliged to entertain every thought.
Allowing thoughts to attach themselves to your consciousness gives them
power. If a thought of hatred arises, recognise it to be just that, nothing
more. Once this is Known the only truly sincere thing to do is surrender everything into this Realisation. The treasure of this moment is revealed. When everything is surrendered all that remains is Realisation of Truth. This is not to indicate that there must be worldly renunciation, only that every moment is to be infused with the awareness of Consciousness. What a joy to relinquish the unnecessary complications. Simply Be Present. |
